who can benefit from such data. The Health Care Solutions Group
has compiled data from a number of different sources in one convenient
web-based tool that provides access to almost 100 health care-related
variables in the areas of cost, quality, utilization, outcomes,
financing and workforce. Additionally, there is a section that
tracks available data on innovations and new developments in health
care (e.g., use of Health Savings Accounts, Consumer-Driven Health
Plans, etc.).
The Health Care Solutions group regularly updates the Health Care
Data Tool as new data becomes available for the existing variables.
New variables are periodically added when it is determined that
the data would be beneficial to health care leaders, policy makers
and stakeholders.

that are used are provided throughout the book, as many of these
sources provide data on additional health care variables.
